The HaliCallahanicon will be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, North America, Earth (Sol III), Milky Way, Timeline [?] -- well, the Heinlein Timeline has yet to be decided upon... Anyhow, it is timed to avoid the celebration of the one-hundredth anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, which is expected to bring hordes of Leonardo DiCaprio fans to the city to desecrate Fairview Cemetery yet again, but will at least partially overlap with the Howard Families Meeting of 2012 -- it is anticipated that the Lord Nelson Hotel in Halifax will by then have been acquired by an anonymous consortium of international (interstellar?) (interfictonic??) investors and will have been renamed the New Age Hotel... Planned activities include a tour of Spider Robinson-related sites in and around the city, a Real Nice Clambake at Martinique Beach in Musquodoboit Harbour, and a Masked Ball at the University Club, Dalhousie University. Save your units of currency, kids, -- it's gonna be a blast!
